Safe, Reliable Diagnostic Results While You Wait
Diagnostic procedures are an important component of your pet's overall health care. Used to help diagnose, monitor, and track changes, they assist your veterinarian with identifying medical concerns early on, before they become more serious conditions. The Cat Clinic of Cary is proud of our in-house diagnostic facilities, eliminating wait times and extra trips for many routine procedures.
Purrs 4 Life
The Purrs 4 Life Program is based on recommendations by both the Academy of Feline Practitioners and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. It offers a cost-effective way to ensure your feline family member receives routine diagnostic procedures along with discounts on other services and products. Our goal is to provide the best advice and education for our clients and the best health care for our feline patients.
In-House Laboratory, Radiology & Ultrasound
Diagnostic testing provides vital information about your cat. Your veterinarian may order tests as part of your pet's annual exams. Routine testing can provide important baseline information that can be used during your cat's life, identifying any trends that may signal changes in their health. When your cat is ill, he or she can assist the veterinarian in making a proper diagnosis.
Radiology and ultrasound are painless and non-invasive ways to obtain internal images of your pet. Radiographs, or X-rays, are two-dimensional black and white images that can assist our veterinary staff in identifying muscular-skeletal issues, such as arthritis, bone fractures, and hip dysplasia. They can also be used to view internal organs for irregularities ranging from tumors, fluid, foreign objects, or disease. In addition, X-rays can identify bone loss and fractures below the gum line during dental cleanings and surgery.
While X-rays provide two-dimensional views of your pet's internal bones and organs, ultrasound shows three-dimensional imaging. This imaging can provide your pet's veterinarian with information such as the texture and size of your pet's organs.
